Working in palliative care is one of the most rewarding volunteer choices anyone can make.

Not only does it make a huge difference to the experience of the person who is dying and their family, but also to the volunteer’s own life.

Volunteers are seen as a valued member of Palliative Care teams and their presence is supported by International and National philosophy and standards for Hospice and Palliative Care.

Although not for everyone, those who volunteer genuinely derive fulfillment from their work.

Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated have trained and managed volunteers to work in the Busselton Hospital’s in- patient hospice setting  since 2001. Follow the link to find out more about volunteering with us.
